No Other Choice Dir. Park Chan-Wook (2025)

The hit Korean filmmaker who made his mark with movies such as the Oldboy(2003) trilogy series and The Handmaiden(2016) is back with a new film starring Lee Byung-Hun(Squid Game) about a paper mill manager who decedents into violence after being laid off. Critics are praising this movie with The Guardian saying “Sensational state-of-the-nation satire” if you haven’t seen any of his other films I would recommend The Handmaiden or his other critically acclaimed film Decision To Leave(2022).

No Other Choice will hit select theatres on Christmas and everywhere else in January.

Ballad Of A Small Player Dir. Edward Berger(2025)

From the director who brought you All Quiet on The Western Front(2022) and his English language debut with Conclave(2025) brings you a new film based on the book of the same name released in 2014 by Lawrence Osborne the movie adaptation stars Colin Farrell(The Penguin,True Detective) about a con man named Lord Doyle who has racked up a bunch of debt. And while laying low a private investigator played by Tilda Swinton(Moonrise Kingdom, Suspira) he tries to weasel his way out of this monster he’s created by any means possible. Critics are saying while Collin’s acting is outstanding the movie feels a little too over directed.

Ballad Of A Small Player will be available to stream on Netflix on October 29,2025

Roofman(2025) Dir. Derek Cianfrance(2025)

Based on true events of real life spree robber Jerry Manchester, director Derek Cianfrance(Blue Valentine, The Place Beyond the Pines) stars Channing Tatum in this comedy about one of Jerry’s robberies that involved him hiding out in a Toys “R” Us after committing about 45 robberies of a McDonalds using the roof hence the name Roofman he meets Toys “R” Us worker Leigh played by Kristen Dunst(Jumanji,Spiderman) it becomes this funny silly comedy about Jerry and his insane antics.

So far there is no planned streaming date but Screenrant’s movie team are saying around sometime late November and hopefully that helps Channing in award season.
